Cirque Autour is a professional modern circus company established in 1996 which is active in the renewal of current circus and, more broadly, in the development of live shows. Its objectives are promoting and spreading of circus arts, under their modern form, in mixing those (acting, dancing, music, video, circus…).

Cirque Autour is an entertainment company bringing together circus artists, musicians, actors, dancers, pastic technicians … for creations under big top, events, entertainments or street shows.

We offer still or strolling shows, inside or outside, learning workshops and we have a 350sqm circus big top.

After the creation in 1999 of "La Famille O" (the O Family), with over 100 shows under big top ; in 2000 that of "La marionnette sphérique" (the spherical puppet), a strolling show ; in 2001 "Testamento" (will), a 3-year roadshow under big top; and then “Formatage Acte 1” (Formatting Act 1) a creation for adults; we got the idea of directing, or more precisely, bringing on track, circus artists in drama situations normally played on stage at the theatre.

Several still shows : "Charivari" (click here to watch the video!), "La Fabuleuse Histoire du Cirque" (the Wonderful History of Circus) (click here to watch the video!), and our new creation around the political speeches of Victor HUGO… On the one hand, therefore, characters to be created and a story to tell ; on the other hand, a style to find, at the crossroads of interpreters’ artistic proposals : mime, dance, acting, circus arts.

This quest led our company to wonder what parts but also brings together circus and theatre, traditional or modern, and that especially as far as emotion is concerned.

Cirque Autour company brings together over 15 professional artists for its numerous strolling shows: waders, acrobats, spitfires, jugglers, clowns, trapeze, plastic technicians, make-up artists, balloon sculptors… who all have in common to be:  CLOWNS.

Strolling shows are interactives and can be composed of a choice of characters depending on the nature of your event.

In those events, everything is possible: a disco parade (click here to watch the video!), Augusts, angels, white clowns, grooms, devils/phenix (click here to watch the video!)…

The Clown is a juggler, a wader, an actor, sometimes a musician, a dancer and, of course, a barker.

Artists of our company are fully flexible geographically, reactives, can perform on all type of events: festivals, carnivals, company events, celebration nights,…
